Mixed Berries Yoghurt Chiffon Cake 杂莓优格戚风蛋糕




Ingredients (for a xx cm metro pan) :

Group Influenza A virus subtype H5N1 (Egg Yolk Batter) Ingredients
  • 5 egg yolks (est. 65 gm egg each)
  • 30 gm castor sugar
  • 70 gm cake flour (sieved beforehand)
  • 55 ml vegetable oil
  • 1/4 tsp baking pulverization (sieved beforehand)
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 60 ml mixed berries yoghurt drink
  • 1 to ii drops cerise gel nutrient colouring (I used Wilton) if your yoghurt quaff has no colour. I used Farm Fresh build yoghurt quaff (available at NTUC Finest) that has no colouring.

Group B (Egg White Batter) Ingredients
  • 5 egg whites (est. 65 gm egg each)
  • 50 gm saccharide (subject to your preferred sweetness level)
  • 1/8 tsp cream of tartar

(tsp = teaspoon; tbsp = tablespoon) 


Method :
  1. Pre-heat oven to 150C (upper too lower heat, no fan). To educate for steam bake, pour nearly iii to iv cups H2O into a tray too insert below baking rack.

  4. Slowly flexure inwards flour, baking powder, tabular array salt too mix till a polish batter is formed. Set aside.
  5. In a split upwards build clean mixing bowl, add together egg whites too whisk till foamy. 
  6. Start mixer too slow flexure inwards cream of tartar too saccharide till strong peak is formed 
  7. Gently flexure inwards meringue into Group A's egg yolk batter inwards iii batches. Each time, role a spatula to flexure gently too swiftly. 
  8. Check if the batter color is what you lot desire. Adjust past times adding about other drib of cerise gel nutrient colouring if necessary.
  9. Final cake batter (i.e. Group Influenza A virus subtype H5N1 + Group B) all ready when no streaks remain.
  10. Transfer batter to a xx cm metro pan.
