Laksa Pasta Amongst White Clams & Crabmeat 叻沙意粉



*in collaboration amongst Dancing Chef (for Laksa Paste)

After yesterday's Hainanese Chicken Rice Paste challenge, I was attempting the Dancing Chef Laksa Paste next. This Laksa Pasta amongst White Clams & Crabmeat 叻沙意粉 was a fusion i pot pasta that incorporated South East Asian spices to an otherwise western pasta dish. I replaced the traditional laksa fresh cockles amongst cooked white clams. I equally good replaced the shredded chicken inwards traditional laksa amongst shredded crabmeat. Unlike the local laksa that's filled amongst gravy, my lead maintain for the pasta was an well-nigh dry out laksa sauce instead. It worked good amongst the pasta as well as seafood. And made the Laksa Pasta amongst White Clams & Crabmeat 叻沙意粉 flavourful as well as amount of fusion characteristics.

Ingredients (enough for four pax) :
  • 300 to 350 gm spaghetti 
  • 400 gm white clams (degritted, scrubbed as well as cleaned)
  • 200 gm shredded crabmeat
  • 1 bundle Dancing Chef Laksa Paste (100 gm)
  • 4 cloves garlic (peeled as well as thinly sliced)
  • 1 mid sized onions (peeled as well as finely chopped)
  • 65 ml kokosnoot cream mixed amongst 1 loving cup water
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • a dash of paprika (to taste)
  • grated cheese (to taste)(optional)
  • 1/2 tsp dried parsley (for garnishing) 

(tsp = teaspoon; tbsp = tablespoon) 

Method :
  1. Boil a pot of water, add together a petty cooking oil, tabular array salt as well as hit the pasta till al dente.
  2. Rinse cooked pasta through running tap H2O as well as exit to drain aside.  
  3. Heat cooking crude oil at medium oestrus as well as stir kid aromatics (onions & garlic) till fragrant.
  4. Add 1/3 division of Dancing Chef Laksa Paste as well as crabmeat. Give it a quick stir fry.
  5. Add about other 1/3 division of Dancing Chef Laksa Paste as well as 1/2 division of kokosnoot cream mixture. Bring to boil.
  6. Add saccharide to taste.
  7. Fold inwards white clams.
  8. Cover lid as well as allow to simmer for ii to 3 minutes.
  9. Scoop out cooked white clams from pot as well as laid upwardly aside.
  10. Fold inwards cooked pasta, lastly 1/3 division of Dancing Chef Laksa Paste as well as the other 1/2 division of kokosnoot cream mixture.
  11. Turn to really depression oestrus as well as stir till pasta, crabmeat as well as sauce are even.
  12. Top amongst cooked white clams, paprika, dried parsley as well as grated cheese earlier serve.
  13. Serve whilst hot.
