Tao Kwa Goreng 炸豆干



It's a lazy Dominicus forenoon in addition to I had to wake upwards to educate breakfast. Ingredients (enough for ii pax) :
  • 2 pcs tao kwa (firm tofu)(available at supermarkets in addition to moisture markets)
  • a handful of edible bean sprouts (roots trimmed, washed in addition to pat dry) 
  • 8 pcs thinly sliced cucumbers 
  • 2 tbsp crushed nuts (optional)
  • cooking crude (for deep frying)
Sauce : 
  • 1 tbsp Hoisin sauce
  • 1 tsp chili sauce
  • sugar (to taste)
  • grounded dark pepper (to taste)

(tsp = teaspoon; tbsp = tablespoon) 

Method :
  1. Heat plenty cooking crude (to submerge at to the lowest degree one-half the tao kwa) inwards saucepan at medium heat.
  2. When cooking crude is sufficiently hot, pat dry out tao kwa in addition to deep youngster inwards saucepan till golden dark-brown on all sides.
  3. Remove tao kwa from saucepan, drain crude in addition to laid aside to cool.
  4. Prepare sauce yesteryear mixing all sauce ingredients inwards a bowl in addition to rut inwards microwave oven, oven or over the stove. Set aside.
